These created views are meant to be seen by crossing your eyes. If this is difficult or painful, do not attempt to do so. Parallel views are provided for those who can view using that method. Both methods assume your monitor is wide enough to display both images side by side, and not wrapping down the page.
Further details on
the conversion process can be found at: Dan Shelley's NSA 2002 workshop page.
All images are reduced down to 400 width and use high compression for faster download. The original pairs are up to 16,000 pixels wide and 270 meg for the pair (ex. Clockface on Spasskaia Tower Kremlin); the web pairs are 400 wide and 20-90k in size. This compression, along with the significant size reduction,
may cause some retinal rivalry which does not exist in the original conversions or slides.
If you wish to see the slide versions, join us on the third Thursday of the month at the
Southern California Stereo Club meetings, a great place to meet people who enjoy stereo images as much as you do. Every other month: (Jan, Mar, May, Sep, and Nov) three new unpublished conversions will be presented at these meetings. So for some pleasant surprises, join us at the next meeting!
